iv'e just bought halo 2 for vista today so thats good news for me that more people will be playing.
i have XBL gold though so the price thing wont apply but it will be good when they start adding achievements to more games, theres only about 6 now that have them (and i already own shadowrun, the club and gears for my 360) |

Actually, owning an Xbox Live account meant PC gamers didn't need to pay extra for Live Gold features on PC games. |

He would like to boost Shadowrun. He'll need 2 accounts playing the game at the same time. Plus it will help him get the cross-platform ach. Not many windows users play the GFWL titles cause they used to have to pay. This might be a good breakthrough. |

Xbox Live should never free, it's already bad enough playing with the amount of racist, childish, sexist and rude assholes that pay for the service... so imagine if all the others that refuse to pay could get on! And also, the servers wouldn't be able to handle it. Remember GTA and all the free 1 month gold cards... it'd be like that everyday, forever. |

This is bull in my opinion. Why do I have to pay for Live when almost all DLC cost points and games for the 360 are $10 more than PC games. Kind of un-fair in my opinion. I know that Live is better than PSN, but MS could atleast lower the Live cost. |

How about pc gamers just play pc and xbox instead of thinking pc gaming is the only thing. I play both and i didnt worry about paying for gears on pc, since i already had live. |

yes i agree with 25, we shovel out 350-500+ dollars for the system depending on various bundles and promotions, 50-70 dollars for the game, 50 for the gold account, then dlc to be able to play some matchmaking features (halo 3) for example. and whats with MS points?? do people fell less protective of their money if its 800 points instead of 10 Dollars?

I don't understand why people complain that live costs when PSN doesn't.. seriously.. if you don't like paying for live.. then dont.. go play on PSN.. really that simple. Xbox live will never be free it hasn't been for years and with all the money they are raking in, they are definately not going to make it free. |

It would be nice to be free, but on the other hand i don't want a half assed service like PSN. The only reason XBL is so polished is because of the money, and if you guys want it to stay that way, stop complaining.
Its not even like its that expensive, its half the cost of certain MMORPG's and look at the amount of games you can play.

all i want is a ps3 home style screen or game on the 360 i mean the winter update looks kller now if only they make it like sonys home then they would really start to rake in cash i mean they are charging us then why dont they give us a nice little thing like that.... |
